For a facilty, green roofing can increase the longevity of the roof membrane along with lowering energy costs. One of the nicest benefits is the value it can add with amenity and aesthetics. It is not only the facility that benefits from green sustainable roofing. Grren roofing also contributes to the surrounding area in ways such as stormwater management, reducing the urban heat island effect, and the attraction of insects and birds which can create a balance in the ecosystems of urban areas.
Slate is a awesome roofing material. the longevity and durability is what makes it an excellent choice. Slate colors vary and can add a distinction to any building.

In May of 2012, CEI Michigan was featured in CAM Magazine. The 4-page article highlighted the companies work at the University of Michigan. The slate roofs across 
the campus were a work of excellent craftsmanship by CEI. The article highlights this work.
In the summer of 2010, CEI makes top 50 of Roofing Contractors Magazines Top 100 contractors. They are featured on the list at number 40. They are rated in the U.S. on their revenue in 2010. The list is composed of the top roofing companies in both commercial and residential.

In 2010, CEI was recognized in an article in CAM Magazine for repair work. The roof repair was done at the Cobo Center in Detroit, just in time for the auto show to take place.
